Hiding behind myself staring into space,
Looking for another answer to my fate. But,
Is it really worth opening my eyes?
If I miss more has it really been a waste?
I know what I'm looking for,
Another close call with a crash and burn.
Another chance to walk out the door,
Knowing not if I'll return.
People tell me I'm the one who wanted more when I've got it all,
But I've been there, seen it, bought the T shirt, watched it, lived it loved it!
It's left me hanging on to nothing by a fine thread,
Looking for another, something's slipped in my head.
Out of four steps to daisy pushing I've had five,
Should have died long ago, why am I still alive?
But I'm easy, no-one ever saw,
One ounce of my hurt,
Bottling up is such a fine thing!
Matter of fact, I just carry on.
As if I'm happy with nothing to lose.
If I opened up to all these people,
I'd probably just break down in tears,
To think they'd see my deepest feelings,
Congested over all these years.
People tell me I'm the one who wanted more when I've got it all,
But I've been there, seen it, bought the T shirt, watched it, lived it loved it!
It's left me hanging on to nothing by a fine thread,
Looking for another, something's slipped in my head.
Out of four steps to daisy pushing I've had five,
After all my near misses, I'm still alive!
Ooh this life has watched me,
Try to walk away from it,
Completely.

I wisely look to the future, even after such a past,
Experience my only teacher, hindsight: I'm learning fast.
I'll know a few more tricks tomorrow,
From mistakes I make today.
I love my pride but sorrow,
Always has a word to say.
People tell me I'm the one who wanted more when I've got it all,
But I've been there, seen it, bought the T shirt, watched it, lived it loved it!
It's left me hanging on to nothing by a fine thread,
Wonder if I'm still ahead.
Am I hanging on to something that's not mine?
Do I slow down now while I'm still alive?

These guys are outstanding! I can't believe they just called their album "Demo" - I'm presuming this is some kind of inside joke, because it is nothing short of incredible. Nuff said! Allan Dawson
